A recent joint report by DappRadar and Alsomine has found that owning non-fungible tokens (NFTs) is widely viewed as advantageous by the majority of respondents. In total, 92% of participants noted the benefits of NFT ownership, while 52% ranked the ability to purchase NFTs with credit cards among their top two priorities.

The survey of crypto community members revealed that 65% of respondents considered owning NFTs to have a “big advantage,” while 27% said it provided “some advantage.” When asked about specific benefits of NFT ownership, 31% of participants cited the ability to earn and save money, while 22% valued NFTs for asset ownership and 19% for gaming and metaverse functions.

Interestingly, the ability of NFTs to provide membership and access privileges was ranked fourth with 18%. However, this was the most valued function among respondents with proficient knowledge of NFTs. The most valuable use case for NFTs among new users was their function as a ticket or an admittance pass.

Examining purchasing behavior, the report revealed that 52% of survey respondents preferred to purchase NFTs with their credit cards. Of these, 38% were experienced users who own a digital wallet or have bought crypto before. Women were found to be more inclined toward paying with their credit cards when purchasing NFTs.

Despite recent market fluctuations, the NFT market remains strong, with on-chain NFT trading volume of $24.7 billion at the end of 2022. While this figure represents a slight decrease from 2021, it highlights the resilience of the NFT market. The number of unique trades recorded a 19.75% increase in 2022, reaching 6.9 million at the end of the year. NFT sales also increased by 67% to reach 107 million.

In conclusion, the survey shows that NFTs are widely considered advantageous, with many crypto community members prioritizing credit card payments for NFT purchases. The market for NFTs continues to grow and evolve, and it will be interesting to see how it develops in the future.
